What has surprised me most over the years is the shift toward more video game–themed figures-from classics like Mario and Sonic to newer games such as Fortnite and Minecraft. Television shows, cartoons, films, video games, and pop culture all make for creative molds for action figures. Joe, He-Man, and Marvel, to name a few, continue to put out products to this day, but there are also lots of new toys to explore. Many long-running brands, such as Transformers, G.I. Toys have evolved from the simplest of dolls to tech-integrated feats of engineering, but the simple action figure, a toy typically defined by various points of articulation, has always been a staple. The act of play is intrinsically connected and important to the human experience as a way to educate, express, and generally enjoy yourself-no matter your age. OK for the money, but only 3 stars for all the improvements that are needed and lacking. There’s something magical about toys. It would be very helpful to dump them into the iPad image folder too. The photos ONLY show up in the app as far as I can tell. Why not? On the good side it’s been largely bug free and the tie in to the iPad camera works very well along with crop function. There is only buyer support but no way to advertise what you want to sell. The total # listed for entries does not include duplicates or is there any elegant way to note different locations for dupes. The sort function could use a lot more criteria choices. If I wanted to export the list to a potential buyer they would have no way to see condition via photo. I’ve done over 350 entries so far on a very new iPad and here is my assessment: While the app is easy enough to hand enter data, its inability to recognize 99% of barcodes is annoying, as is the no capability to export the images taken with the collection.
